Brandt & Tara Bell celebrated their happiness with a wedding reception at the Town Pavilion in downtown Kansas City, MO on Saturday, July 16, 2011 with 300+ friends and family. Ron Ruth of Ron Ruth Wedding Entertainment was invited to act as Brandt & Tara’s Wedding Entertainment Director, Master of Ceremonies and Kansas City wedding DJ.
Brandt & Tara’s celebration was in honor of their intimate, destination wedding which took place a couple of weeks earlier in Mexico. But that didn’t stop them from pulling out all of the stops for having an elegant affair that quickly transformed into an unforgettably fun, Kansas City wedding reception.
Their wedding reception began with the couple, their parents and wedding party making a grand entrance down the equally grand and beautiful staircase at the Town Pavillion. The top of the staircase was illuminated with a monogram logo provided by Kansas City’s XS Lighting, who also provided an array of color coordinated, up-lighting throughout the room.
A dinner buffet was served by Brancato’s Catering. Guests were invited to the buffet through specially selected songs assigned to each table. When those songs were played, the guests were encouraged to entertain the newlyweds with their most creative dance moves while making their way to the buffet.
At the conclusion of dinner, Brandt & Tara were the star contestants in an amusing version of “The Newlywed Game.” Their guests were asked to submit the questions through cards that had been pre-placed on each table. It was just one of many fun highlights of Brandt & Tara’s Kansas City, MO, wedding reception. Of course, the game ended in a tie with Brandt & Tara, both, enjoying victory as happy winners!
Before the formalities got underway, their guests were treated to a light-hearted and poignant telling of Brandt & Tara’s love story, complete with pre-recorded audio “drops” that allowed the newlyweds to personally share the more intimate details of how their relationship progressed. Imagine it as an “E! True Hollywood Story” without the video.
Family and friends then watched Tara & Brandt share choreographed dances with their father and mother, respectfully. But the most memorable moment of the wedding reception came when the happy couple took to the dance floor for their specially choreographed first dance that began with “Marry Me” by Train before unexpectantly transitioning into “Yeah 3X” by Chris Brown. From the sounds of the guests in the video below, they loved every moment!
The fun didn’t end there. The party went strong late into the evening until the last song of the wedding reception was played.
For Brandt, Tara and their family and friends, it was an extraordinarily fun and memorable Kansas City wedding reception and we’re so glad to have been a part of it!
