On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Jason & Megan King celebrated their happiness with a wedding reception at the Overland Park, KS, Marriott Hotel with 200 friends and family. Kansas City wedding DJ and Wedding Entertainment Director™, Ron Ruth Wedding Entertainment, provided the planning, direction and entertainment to help the newlyweds make it unforgettably fun for all!
Jason & Megan’s wedding reception was a celebration of family tradition. The newlyweds were married in the same church as Megan’s parents and grandparents. The topper for their wedding cake was a family heirloom that has set atop the wedding cakes of 4 generations of Brides & Grooms…beginning with Megan’s great-grandparents.
The Groom’s cake was an exact replica of Jason’s pride & joy (other than Megan), his jeep. The detail was incredible. Every little nuance of his real jeep was captured, all the way down to the “JK” decal by the doors and tire tread. And, every part of it was edible. It was such a cool cake, however, that Jason didn’t want to cut into it. When last I saw, they were trying to find a delicate way to transport it back to their home in St. Louis. I hope it made the trip.
Jason & Megan chose a number of fun activities to make their wedding reception extraordinary…an abbreviated love story, personalized and fun wedding party introductions with specially selected songs for each individual, a “Kiss For A Kiss” competition with guest judges, a choreographed First Dance and a very special bouquet presentation to the longest married couple and grandmothers…just to name a few. It was an awesome event and every moment of their wedding reception was filled with fun memories.
