Ron Ruth is a Kansas City native, a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and attended Emporia State University as a theatre arts major.

Since 1990, Ron has garnered the respect of his peers and hundreds of Brides and Grooms as a consummate wedding professional and an extremely knowledgeable and proficient Kansas City Wedding DJ, Entertainer and Master of Ceremonies.

A recognized leader in the DJ industry, in 2001 Ron founded a local group of competing, DJ business owners that organized to become the Kansas City Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association. Ron served as President from 2002-2004. In 2005, he was elected by the ADJA membership to the National Board of Directors.

Passing the stringent business and talent acumen required for acceptance into the Wedding Entertainment DirectorsGuild™ has been Ron’s most prized acheivement. Membership includes some of the most talented Wedding Entertainers in the country. Ron has the distinction of being the only wedding DJ in Kansas City and the central Midwest to earn the certification and title of Wedding Entertainment Director™ and serves on the WED Guild™ Board of Advisors.

Ron serves as Membership Director for the Kansas City Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), and is a member of the Heartland Chapter Of  the Association of Bridal Consultants. Both groups include the areas most esteemed wedding and event professionals.

Ron seeks out and learns from experts in the event and wedding industry. He attends 3-4 national conferences and workshops annually. These educational opportunities keep him on top of new wedding trends and best capable for providing his Brides and Grooms a creatively unique, wedding reception, DJ entertainment experience.

In addition to being a credited contributor to Peter Merry’s nationally celebrated, wedding planning book, “The Best Wedding Reception…Ever!“, Ron is the author and key presenter of 2, highly acclaimed wedding workshops for engaged couples; “The MAGIC Behind An Extraordinary Wedding Celebration!” and the “The Best Groom…Ever!”

Ron also wrote and presents a much touted customer service seminar for wedding professionals, “Disney’s 3 Keys To Success And Your Wedding Business” and has spoken at National and local wedding conferences.

And, Ron is a staff writer for “Disc Jockey News,” a national publication focused on the DJ industry.

Ron and his wife, Debbie, live in Blue Springs, MO with their cat, Tillie.
